Amazing bakery filled with delicious goodies. The cardamom bun is my favorite! You have to get here reasonably early as they do run out of items pretty quickly, but it's well worth it!

Delicious pastries and bread were warm and fresh. Particularly love the mushroom and Gruyère and the tomato and feta as well. Other big hit is the cardamom bun. Tried the cinnamon roll this time and it's almost like an upside down cake but bland until you get to the cinnamon gooey bottom. The red pepper and gruyere loaf was amazing, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with some melted cheese and a kick! Added some balsamic vinegar on top and really made the flavor pop! Staff is also nice. Note: Line is typically long and parking can suck. I agree it can get expensive, though I disagree and would say it's typical for this type of pastries around the area. Heck, even coffee is 7-9 dollars now.

First time. Expected long line but worth it for the variety and quality of the goods. Seating is outside. When I arrived, a live band was just packing up. Definitely a weekend local favorite.

Love - that's all I can say - I love everything about this place - staff is friendly and knowledgeable they talk to you about things and brighten your day. The baked goods are so fantastic I could eat them out of house and home / I fell in love with the mortadella and pickle leaks sandwich / all and all it was a perfect morning addition to my boba and laughter. Go and eat carbs!

Having lived in Berkeley , Portland and SF, my standard for baked goods is pretty high. Their cardamom bun is my favorite, they have solid buns and croissants as well. I think this is close to being on par with other bakeries in the Bay Area-but they're definitely the best in Sacramento. I think Faria is overrated and overpriced, while MOONBELLY's prices are still reasonable. I became a fan of this place when they first opened before they started to have these throngs of people out the door. They do have a small lot, but it can definitely get packed quickly if you don't get here early. I wish they were open more often during the rest of the week. The only thing I'd pass on is their coffee since it's mid.

Moonbelly Bakery is a cute tiny bakery. The customer service is so friendly and helpful! The Plain Croissant was flakey, crispy, and buttery. Chocolate Croissant - TBD, haven't tried it yet as we had to get on the road. Support your local business!

They have lines out the door for a reason. Moonbelly Bakery offers a variety of high quality fresh baked savory and sweet offerings as well as coffee. The inside is quite small and has items on display to purchase both on the shelves and in the bakery case. Their offerings depend on availability and they bring out fresh baked items throughout the day until they run out. Our favorite item is the garlic buns, but everything is delicious. We'll often purchase their fresh baked breads as well. I recommend ordering a selection of items and taking them home to share so you can discover your favorites. Watch out for special items, like their sandwiches. I haven't tried them yet, but they always sound delicious. The parking lot is congested and very tiny, but there is some parking on the side streets nearby. I suggest coming when they first open so you can grab a parking spot and so you have first pick of the fresh baked items. They have some outdoor seating available if you'd like to enjoy your items right away, but you'll see most people taking them to go.

We visited Moonbelly Bakery on a Sunday (late) morning, but I would recommend going earlier in the day. The indoor space was tiny and smelled amazing, and all the seating was outside on the patio. Many of the items were already sold out, so I chose the Not Pizza focaccia and Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. I also got their Cold Brew Special, which was Mint. Service was quick and friendly! We ended up taking our food to-go, since the patio seating was completely full. The Not Pizza was good, but the taste of the toppings got a little lost in the thickness of the bread. I wish there had been more sauce and veggies on top. It was really filling though! The Chocolate Chip Banana Bread was fantastic. The texture was perfectly moist and the banana flavor was really strong. I also really liked the Mint Cold Brew Special, which was creamy and the right level of sweetness. My friend got the Mortadella Sandwich, which she said was good, but not amazing. Overall, Moonbelly Bakery was solid for lunch - would return to try more!
